Established in 1993, Equine Assisted Therapy, Inc. has been providing top quality therapeutic riding instruction for 15 years!
Equine Assisted Therapy only charges each rider 40% of what it ACTUALLY costs to provide riding therapy.
No student has ever been turned away for financial reasons! Rider scholarship requests have more than doubled in 2007.
Therapeutic Riding Lessons are offered 40 weeks per year with an average of 30 students riding each week.
There are currently 9 specially trained therapy horses and/or ponies in the program.
Equine Assisted Therapy is proud to have state-of-the-art equipment available to riders to help them reach their goals.
All instructors are certified by The North American Riding for the Handicapped Association.
All volunteers are required to attend a minimum of 6 hours of training per year.
You can increase the value of your contribution with a matching gift from your company. If you are employed by a company that offers matching gifts, please request a form from the company’s Human Resources Department and mail it in with your contribution.
Equine Assisted Therapy is a 2009 Partner Agency with United Way of Knox County.
